Last updated 24 October 2026. PDF Haraka is a service of EKJ Dynamics, Tanzania.
1. The service
PDF Haraka offers tools to merge, split, compress, convert, protect and unlock PDF files. The tools run inside your own web browser: the documents you choose are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers, unless you choose “Save to my files”.
2. Accounts
- You can use the tools without an account, for files up to the size shown on the page.
- To create an account you give your mobile number and full name and confirm the number with a one-time SMS code. There is no password. You are responsible for keeping access to your phone number.
- You must give your real name and use a number that belongs to you.
3. Weekly plans and payment
- Paid plans allow bigger files for a set number of weeks. Prices are shown in Tanzanian shillings (TZS) per week before you pay.
- You pay to the Lipa number shown on the site and enter the transaction code. Your plan starts when we have checked the payment, normally within a few hours during working days.
- Plans do not renew automatically. When the paid weeks end, the account returns to Free; files you saved stay until their deletion date.
- If a payment cannot be matched to the transaction code you entered, the plan is not activated and we will contact you. Payments for weeks already started are not refundable, except where Tanzanian law requires it. Contributions are voluntary and not refundable.
4. Your files
- Only use files that you own or are allowed to handle. Do not use the service for anything illegal, for files that infringe others’ rights, or to try to harm the service.
- Saved files are encrypted on our server, visible only to your account, and deleted automatically after the time shown on the page (or the longer period you choose to keep them). Deleted files cannot be recovered. Keep your own copy of anything important.
- Passwords you add with “Protect PDF” are never sent to us and cannot be recovered. If you forget one, the file cannot be opened.
- Compression, conversion and text recognition (OCR) are automatic and may not be perfect. Always check the result before relying on it.
5. Privacy
- We store your phone number, name, plan, payments and saved files. We use your number only to sign you in and about your account or payments; we do not sell or share it, except with the SMS provider that delivers your sign-in codes or where the law requires.
- We count visits and tool use to improve the service. These statistics do not store your IP address or any file contents.
- You can ask us to delete your account and saved files at any time.
6. Availability and liability
We work to keep PDF Haraka available and secure, but the service is provided “as is”, without guarantee that it will always be available or error-free. To the extent the law allows, EKJ Dynamics is not liable for loss of data, income or other indirect losses from using the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the last four weeks.
7. Changes and law
We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version, and continuing to use the service means you accept them. These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
